
Haynes 188, designated as UNS R30188 and W.Nr. 2.4683, is a cobalt-nickel-chromium-tungsten alloy known for its excellent high-temperature strength and outstanding oxidation resistance. The alloy maintains good mechanical properties and structural stability under extreme heat, while also offering superior resistance to thermal fatigue and corrosive atmospheres.
Haynes 188 is widely used in gas turbine combustors, aerospace engine components, industrial furnaces, and high-temperature structural parts. Its exceptional resistance to oxidation, hot corrosion, and wear makes it a preferred material for applications requiring long-term reliability in severe thermal environments. The alloy is commonly supplied in plates, sheets, bars, rods, tubes, and fabricated components.
