Hastelloy B-2 (Alloy B-2), with UNS N010665 and W.Nr. 2.4617, is a nickel-molybdenum alloy designed for excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures. It also performs well in reducing environments, offering strong protection against pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and knife-line attack.
Hastelloy B-2 is commonly used in chemical processing, pickling operations, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Typical applications include reactors, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels where durability and corrosion resistance to aggressive acids are essential.
