Hastelloy C-276 (Alloy C-276), with UNS N10276 and W.Nr. 2.4819, is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy known for its exceptional corrosion resistance in strong oxidizing and reducing environments. It offers excellent protection against pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, especially in harsh media such as hydrochloric, sulfuric, and nitric acids.
Hastelloy C-276 is widely used in chemical processing, pollution control, marine, and pulp & paper industries. Typical applications include heat exchangers, pressure vessels, reactors, evaporators, and flue gas scrubbers—anywhere reliable performance is required in highly corrosive conditions.
