Hastelloy C-4 (Alloy C-4), with UNS N06455 and W.Nr. 2.4610, is a highly corrosion-resistant nickel-molybdenum alloy designed for superior performance in aggressive chemical environments. It offers excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking, even in highly acidic environments like hydrochloric and sulfuric acid.
Hastelloy C-4 is widely used in industries such as chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and waste treatment, where materials need to withstand aggressive chemicals and high temperatures. Its excellent resistance to both oxidizing and reducing environments makes it ideal for applications such as heat exchangers, reactors, and piping systems in corrosive environments.
