Incoloy A-286, also known by UNS S66286 and W.Nr. 1.4980, is a high-performance, nickel-chromium-iron alloy known for its excellent strength and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures. It maintains its mechanical properties at temperatures up to 1,000°F (540°C), making it ideal for high-stress, high-temperature environments.
Common applications of Incoloy A-286 include gas turbines, aircraft engines, and industrial equipment that operate in extreme environments. Its resistance to thermal fatigue and creep, along with its ability to withstand oxidation, makes it a preferred material for the aerospace, power generation, and chemical industries.
