Inconel 690, also known as Alloy 690, with the UNS designation N06690 and W. Nr. 2.4642, is a a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation at high temperatures. It is commonly used in applications that involve heat treatment, thermal processing, and corrosive environments, such as in the production of nuclear fuel processing components, steam generators in nuclear power plants, and other high-temperature industrial processes. Inconel 690 offers good mechanical properties and thermal stability, making it suitable for use in extreme conditions.
