Monel 405/Monel R405/N04405/W.Nr. 2.4361

Monel 405 (UNS N04405, W.Nr. 2.4361) is a nickel-copper alloy with controlled additions that provide excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. Similar to Monel 400, it offers outstanding resistance to seawater, acidic environments, and alkaline media, while its improved machinability makes it highly suitable for components requiring extensive machining. The alloy maintains toughness and durability across a wide range of temperatures.

Monel 405 is widely used in the marine industry, chemical processing, oil and gas equipment, seawater valves, pump shafts, fasteners, and heat exchangers. Its excellent resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking and ability to withstand harsh service conditions make it a preferred material for critical industrial applications. Available in bars, rods, plates, sheets, pipes, and fittings, Monel 405 is valued for its reliability and performance in demanding environments.
