Description

310S stainless steel plate (UNS S31008 / EN 1.4845) is a high-temperature resistant austenitic stainless steel known for its excellent oxidation resistance, strength, and durability at elevated temperatures up to 1100°C (2010°F). It offers superior resistance to thermal fatigue, scaling, and carburizing environments compared with standard stainless steels such as 304 and 316.

Composed mainly of chromium (25%) and nickel (20%), 310S provides exceptional corrosion resistance and mechanical stability in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. The “S” grade variant has a lower carbon content, improving weldability and reducing the risk of carbide precipitation.

310S stainless steel plates are widely used in furnace components, heat exchangers, kilns, chemical processing equipment, and other high-temperature applications. Available in hot-rolled or cold-rolled conditions, they are ideal for industrial environments demanding superior heat and oxidation resistance.
